Coach Casey Goes For 100
4 Bears Roar head coach Wayne Casey is chasing a milestone in his professional coaching career.
100 wins.
The inaugural head coach of the first-year 4 Bears Roar is sitting at 99 wins going into the weekend vs. the Grant County Redtails. The games will be at home for the Roar inside the 4 Bears Event Center.
After a storied NCAA career, Casey embarked on a long career as a professional player including time with the Sacramento Kings. His playing experience took him to Russia, Iceland, China, Australia, Phillipines, and more. When Coach Casey decided to hang it up, the transition to coaching was a no-brainer for the decorated player. He began coaching high school and college before coaching overseas in Grindavik, Iceland, a place familiar to him where he was an all-star in 1994. After two other brief head coaching stints overseas, Coach Casey would become the head coach of the West Virginia Grind (TBL) and Logansport Iron Horses (TBL).
Coach Casey's current record sits 99-31.
Roar fans are encouraged to bring signs saying '100' and express support for Coach Casey, while cheering on the Roar to victory.
