Roar Acquire 1st Round Pick

The 4 Bears Roar, the professional basketball team in the TBL, announced Friday that they have acquired the 2026 1st Round Draft Pick from the Great Falls Electric (TBL) of the Western Conference for future considerations.

The Roar front office and coaching staff are currently at the 2026 TBL League Meetings in Indianapolis, Indiana. Prospective players, hoping for a professional contract, will meet with all teams before showcasing Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday evening, all TBL teams will have a 1st round and 2nd round draft pick. The draft positioning will be decided by lottery on Friday evening during the TBL Gala. Players selected will have the opportunity to attend their team's training camp. The TBL Draft in recent years has seen many players move on to higher leagues overseas or the NBA G-League.

"It's now up to the coaching staff, myself, and our general manager to evaluate these players and find the right fits for our team," said Trey Stephens, the Roar Director of Player Personnel & Scouting.

The TBL Combine and Draft will see around 200 players, all looking for a shot at playing professional basketball.

"There's some really good talent," said TBL president David Magley. "There's some 6'10" guys that could help any team and tons of great guards."

The Roar will make the selections during the 2026 TBL Draft on Sunday evening. Those players will join contracted players, free agent invites, and camp invites at the Roar Preseason Training Camp in Las Vegas, NV on February 5-8. The team has partnered with The STRAT Tower & Casino, Las Vegas Events, and Dynamic Gaming Solutions to host the 25 prospective players that will be on the Roar's training camp roster.
