Roar Clinch Playoff Berth, Sweep Redtails 122-104

On Saturday night, the 4 Bears Roar (11-1) put up the exact same score as the night before defeating the Grant County Redtails (5-4) 122-104. The victory however would be another first milestone in franchise history as the Roar solidified a guaranteed spot in the 2026 TBL Playoffs.

The Roar would get out to an early lead and hold that tempo through much of the game. Guard Rob Phinisee and guard DeShawn Munson would keep the pace going for the Roar scoring back and forth. Midway through the 1st quarter, the Roar's spark off the bench Jimario Rivers would enter and take over. The 6'8" forward, who was the Roar's 1st Round Draft Pick (5th Overall), would create problems down low and in transition for the Redtails.

At halftime, the Roar would lead 58-47 but they would not let up. The high flying dunks and points off turnovers would take over for the 4 Bears Roar as they would eventually end the game 122-104 for their 11th victory of the season.

The Roar were led in scoring by Rivers with 26 points. Munson added 22 and Phinisee had 17, with newcomer Cortez Mosley adding 15.

The Roar now travel to Glendive, Montana on April 10th and 11th for the Roar On The Road Showcase games against the Mesquite Desert Dogs (1-6). The games will be played at the Toepke Center on the campus of Dawson Community College. Doors will open at 5:30pm MT (6:30pm CT) and tip-off will be at 7:00pm MT (8:00pm CT). Tickets are only available at the door. 50% of all ticket sales will be donated to DCC Athletics.
