Roar Defeat Jags 148-79, 69 Point Victory
ALBANY, OR – The 4 Bears Roar (17-1) officially clinched home court advantage in the TBL West Division for the upcoming playoffs, after an impressive 148-79 blowout of the Willamette Valley Jaguars (2-7).
The Jaguars were strong out of the gate thanks in part to timely turnovers by the Roar. However, a late first quarter spark from Roar forward Jimario Rivers along with guard Alejandro Rama would hold the lead to 31-22. The Roar would then go on a 29-3 run to start off the second quarter going into halftime up 78-39. The Roar would run away with the game in the second half, defeating the Jaguars 148-79, a 69-point victory.
Roar head coach Wayne Casey said the team was motivated knowing the playoffs are soon.
All eleven players that dressed for the Roar got even minutes for the most part. Munson led the Roar with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Guards Cortez Mosley (25) and Taevon Horton (24) also had season high games with Horton adding 6 of 10 from 3-point line. Forward Jimario Rivers had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
