Roar Fall 137-124, Season Comes To End

Shawnee, OK - The 4 Bears Roar had a hard fought 2-game battle with the 3-time defending TBL champion Potawatomi Fire, dropping Game 2 in a somewhat close game 137-124 at FireLake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

The Roar did what they could, but just could not get a rhythm going to get a lead. Eventually, the Fire would pull away a few times with the Roar battling back to bring it within 2 or 3. But the Fire would prove to be more well-rounded, in sync, and disciplined throughout the game. Roar 6'4" guard Deshawn Munson made his return to FireLake Arena to a nice ovation from the Fire crowd. He would go on to score a triple-double in the game with 24 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists. It would be the young 6'6" guard Cortez Mosley that would shine for the Roar scoring 33 points with 7 rebounds. Roar guard Rob Phinisee, who has shined throughout the playoffs, put up 22 points and 8 rebounds in the game.

The Fire were led by Ricardo Artis II with 27 points while getting 22 points from both forward Jay Hedgeman and guard Jahmal McMurray.

The Fire will now move on to the TBL Championship Finals for the 4th straight season. This year, as the winner of the west, they will face the Tri-City Tide of Moncton, New Brunswick, the winner of the East. Those game dates and times are still to be released.

For the Roar, this concludes the inaugural season finishing with a 27-3 record. The Roar would like to thank all the supporters, fans, sponsors, and most importantly the proud people of MHA Nation.

The 2027 season will begin soon with off-season contract negotiations, workouts, tryouts, and building towards another TBL playoff run. Keep following 4BearsRoar.com or @4BearsRoar on all social media platforms for the latest.
