Roar Win 122-104 Over Redtails

Friday night, the 4 Bears Roar took on the Grant County Redtails at home, winning 122-104.

The Roar (9-1) entering the weekend were the #1 team in the TBL's Western Division, after a weekend sweep of the Great Falls Electric (5-5) last week. Across the TBL landscape, the Roar continue to have the most games played and the most wins so far in the 2026 season. The Redtails came in as the #2 team in the TBL's Western Division with a record of (5-3).

The game was off to a great start for the Roar getting up 24-6 early in the 1st quarter. But the Redtails would answer with timely buckets from their guards Chayse Culpepper and Alontay Gould. The Roar would enter halftime down for the first time this season 57-53. To start the second half, Roar guard Rob Phinisee would score back to back to back to change the momentum. The Roar would then spread out the scoring and bring the heat as they do with big time dunks, blocks, and intense play.

Top scorers for the Roar would include the human highlight reel Jimario Rivers with 19, center Kentrevious Jones adding 18, Phinisee with 17, guard DeShawn Munson with 17, Jimmy Moore 12, and Tavares Sledge with 11.

For the Grant County Redtails, they would be led in scoring by center Sarion McGee with 20. McGee was the 1st Overall Pick in the 2026 TBL Draft by the Columbus Wizards. After a few games he would be released and sign with Redtails bringing power to their lineup. Chayse Culpepper would add 19 and Jaylin Gibson had 15.

The win also marked the 100th career professional win as a head coach for the Roar's Wayne Casey. He was presented a plaque commemorating the achievement and an honorable star quilt. The quilt symbolizes many things within the Native American community and culture including wisdom, honor, and protection. A very high honor for Coach Casey to receive.
