ROAR WIN 132-93, ADVANCE IN PLAYOFFS
NEW TOWN, ND – The 4 Bears Roar completed the sweep of the Willamette Valley Jaguars on Saturday night 132-93 to advance to the 2nd round of the 2026 TBL Playoffs.
The Roar kicked off the night on a 12-0 run, fueled by transition points and hot shooting again from guard Rob Phinisee. The Jaguars wouldn’t get going until half way through the 1st quarter when they answered with a 3-0 run. The Roar would take the lead into the locker room at halftime, 66-42. The second half would be all Roar ending the game 132-93.
The Roar were led in scoring by guard Rob Phinisee with 25 points and 7 assists. Forward Tavares Sledge added a double-double on the night with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Other top scorers for the Roar included guard Alejandro Rama (17), center Lacey James (18), guard Deshawn Munson (15), and guard Rasheed Brooks (14). The Jaguars were led by veteran guard Brandon Hanson with 21 points.
The Roar advance to the 2nd round of the 2026 TBL West Divisional Series against the Great Falls Electric. Due to 4 Bears Event Center having a concert on June 6, the home-home series will be swapped with the Great Falls Electric traveling to North Dakota on Wednesday, June 3rd to take on the Roar in Game 1. Then Game 2 and Game 3 (if needed) will be played on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 (if needed). Tickets are on sale now.
